Model #968 Japanese Crane
This Model #968 Tonka Crane is a unique and extremely rare toy manufactured in Japan for Tonka Canada. Provided to me by an avid collector. It was patented in 1969 for Canada. Also has patents in U.S. – No D-217,825 and Great Britain – No. 741,124.I believe the year of manufactured was 1970. This is the only crane that was manufactured in orange with this unique design.

Of possible interest was that these were also made for other markets (possibly in Japan) with a P&H instead of a Tonka sticker on the shovel arm. Otherwise identical.
